Behind Blue Eyes Lyrics

No one knows what it's like
To be the bad man
To be the sad man
Behind blue eyes
And no one knows
What it's like to be hated
To be faded to telling only lies[chorus]

But my dreams... they aren't as empty
As my conscious seems to be

I have hours, only lonely
My love is vengeance
That's never free

No one knows what its like
To feel these feelings
Like i do, and i blame you!
No one bites back as hard
On their anger

None of my pain woe
Can show through
[chorus]

Discover l.i.m.p. say it [x4]

No one knows what its like
To be mistreated, to be defeated
Behind blue eyes

No one know how to say
That they're sorry and don't worry
I'm not telling lies
[chorus]
No one knows what its like
To be the bad man, to be the sad man
Behind blue eyes.

Don't be shocked and start gasping for air, I can feel the vacuum from here...

Exams are round the corner lah, corner's about 2 days only. So yeah, need to utilize last-minute time to brush up on my theories.

So do keep me in prayer, and hopefully I will do well.

You gotta give it to exams,

Update!
--------------------------------------------------------
I have just added a "Photos on the road..." link just below my "Friends / link" sidebar slot.

There I will post pictures I take as I walk along in life and the streets, giving you glimpses of what caught my eye, or any interesting occurances that happened!
I will periodically change the pictures every 2 weeks, and the music / MTV every week, or until you get sick of it...(Tell me when you are ok? Lol)
Do feel free to download, but the pictures are copyrighted to Drawoh; and if you feel like knowing what exactly happened in any particular picture, just drop a line in my tagboard and I will be more than happy to reveal more!

From here to you,

Hi there! I got a good report and I gotta share it with you guys!
I got a friend in my church group, who received Christ into his life and joined us no more than say, 4 months. As the date of baptism (our Church conducts baptism services 4 times a year) was nearing, he felt challenged to go for it! But it ain't easy as signing up, that's one tier. The next tier, because we're under the age of 21, we gotta ask for our parental consent, cause it's a big decision for God, and a legally recognised act of faith! But the thing is, he told me his parents are very strict and fierce, non-Christian, and doesn't talk about religion besides their own. This proves to be a major barrier for him and in his heart to ask them. We encouraged him to ask and we said by faith, believeing that this week, he will indeed be baptist. We said that by pure faith, and so this was what happened...

I promised I would pray for him. Pray that doors would open, his parents heart will turn from a heart that doesn't allow him, to one which would; that if he is set on folowing God's commandment, what could stop him?' We stood on that promise and prayed. Monday, he meesaged me over the phone, unsuccessful, parents avoiding the issue. He got a little discouraged. I thought of calling him to encourage, but I felt God tell me, "Don't say anything, just pray, let him grow to trust Me." So that's what I did, no respose to my friend, just pray. Tuesday, said he had problems, parents not happy about it, keep changing conversational topics. Hope seemed fleeting. But we serve a good God that's more concern about our character than comforts!

I don't know this part of the story, he just told me over the phone. He said that he was very down, and hope had left him. But he told God, "If its not my time to get baptise, its ok, not what I want, but your plan," and he accepted the fact, and planned to live life as normal; to wait for the next baptism service in 3 months. But right after that, today, he said his mother went into his room and asked for his baptism form. Of course he was shocked and asked for what? And his mom said; 'To sign it.', and she said in Chinese, "You're taking one step closer to this, from now, you got to follow this Jesus wholeheartedly."

WOW! Can you imagine, a chinese educated, non-Christian mom, who was so hard against her son becoming a Christian just a few days ago, saying this?!!!! I was shocked! I mean, this was exactly what we hope and pray would happen, but everytime God comes true for us, I'm still struck with awe! From this, he has grown closer, more dependent on God! Its amazing how we see such occurance nad miracles in our daily lifes, that brings us closer to God. ITs because of these happening, that I would never, ever doubt that we serve a powerful, living God today. Amen.

All things concerning 'La Rizonanza 2004'.
(If you look at the date, you will realise I'm writing this way in retrospect.)
------------------------------------------------------------------------
It was exciting. Very exciting. The knowledge of us at Meridian Junior College (MJC) Choir having a May 19th Concert at Victoria Concert Hall (VCH) was confirmed hours after our Dec 29th 2003 concert by the teachers. Tell me about fast!

It didn't imposed on us any stress, in fact we were greatly looking forward to our inaugural concert; leaving VCH in December, knowing we'll be back in almost 5 months and a week; same place, but largely different expectation for a better, choral-centered concert! And off we were!

Planning was, more or less smooth. Mr. Pang, our male teacher-in-charge, came out with a rather accurate and foreseeable time-table of things-to-do in January. We took off to follow it religiously, but of course, things plan may not always go as planned. We had to change the time-table, lengthening some segments, shortening some, quite often, due to unforeseen disturbances such as block test and public-servant's talk. (Some how I wished we were full-time event managers..that would be fun...haha)

Planning aside, the core business at hand was our repertoire, our stock of songs. It was easy on expectations because we had a theme drawn out by our principal on what she wanted, that is to do generic oldies and/or songs with a rustic English/European feel to it. 'Tea for Two' and 'Blue Moon' stuck as our staple, yet new additions made us gleam for joy. The opera 'Trial by Jury', both male and female chorus, and new Spiritual songs were added almost at the same time. Totaling 11 songs, and 1 full length 45 mins opera. Lots to do in 5 months, but we did it...well.

Of course, due to the educational structure, people come and go aroung March. Yet, the new year 1s learnt very fast, in my opinion, faster and better than we ever expect them to; and the year 2s never stopped the momentum. It is essential, to any project that grounds are continually covered despite circumstances, and although different committees took turns to rest, we never stopped in entirety. I think, at the end of the day, good planning and hard passion brought us through, to bring out the best concert we could ever master.

It surmounted to the actual day of the performances. Good news #1 - No lessons. Good news #2 - Everything went like clockwork, so smooth. (Thank God!) I personally had an amazing opportunity to serve in logistics, ushering and security. (Plus, I got to use a wonderful toy called the Walkie Talkie...its a toy, really...Oh yeah.) Its indeed by God's grace and by His leading that I got to serve in these areas, cause in the very last minute, we realised no one was drafted to fill these positions, and I was trained in Scouts and Church for these roles. So thank God, I could fill the gap, but more than that, I made sure at every opportunity I tried to teach or share with another Year 1 what was going on and I hope they picked up. Jonathan was with me for logistics, Benjamin Kheng was also with me for logistics and security and ushering was a standard issue for the school councilors. We had good, dedicated people on the job who stood their grounds; that is another essential ingredient to a smooth event. Everyone kept in communication, keeping each station in the know over the Talkies, so every move was calculated, counter-checked and executed with exactitude and strength. (Makes us sound like some secret infiltration task force..ahaha...Only real men and women could be so decisive.)

The whole logistics, usher and security (LUS) team's main goal, was to execute our roles well enough so that the choir and the conductors need not worry about anything else besides singing and performing their best. I hoped the LUS team performed to mark, that's not for me to judge; but on reflection, the LUS team had a great time. I had a great time, planning, serving and singing on that day. Having to play dual roles was the first time for me, back and front stage, and I really learnt and grew a lot. Probably never forget that day for the rest of my life.

An event is just an event, it ends. But at the end of the day, I took back many valuable lessons; what to do, what not to do, moronic things never to repeat in life, and most importantly, new friendships. This was the event that brought the year 1 and 2 choir member's efforts together, and made it so much more precious. The times we spent will never go to waste.

I'm so proud of the 2004 year 1 batch; their full of life, most of them don't complain, and their joy rubs on people. Their a great bunch to hang out with, and you could just feel the potential when you're around them. Their not the best, but their dedication and great attitudes will far outshine any other choirs that I know of around. I'm so sure.

Another person to applaud is Mr. Pang. He will almost turn-off 100% of people he talk to on first impression, trust me. But throughout the post and pre-concert period, I grew closer to him and realise he's one of the best teacher I have ever known. Well, he planned the time-table way before anyone had even thought solidly about the concert. Not only that, he would discreetly bring people to a corner to re-primand or to praise, better than someone who doesn't care right? Give him suggestions or a report, and he will give the most direct, logically, and no-nonsense response that you can ever imagine. Better than someone that skids around the issue, beats about the bush and brings you on a wild-run right? He even paid out of his own pocket to foot the bill of the transportation truck and post-concert dinner. Even better, he was having a high fever before and during the concert, while still being there, over the Talkie, checking everything to his best knowledge. With him there during the actual concert and me on stage, I was rest assured that in the short time I was out on the Talkie, everything will still work fine because he took control while I was out. Tough exterior, soft in the inside. Like what my Pastor always says, "Thick skin, soft heart."

To say that La Risonanza 2004 was a success would be an understatement. It was, the best thing that happened to my choral singing career, and I'm sure also to many of my fellow choristers. It was more than a simple day to us, it was a life worth living. A little exaggerate to say of a simple concert you would say; but to us, it wasn't a simple concert, and it was really that good.

Somehow I thank God its over, so that now, we can look towards future projects. The year 1 batch next impending task is 2005's Singapore Youth Festival. They will do well, if they keep the momentum that we build on this year. As for me and the year 2s, which I will write about next time, to conquer 'A' levels, my dream to set up a Meridian Choir Alumni that would take other alumnus by storm, and to keep in close bond with all these wonderful friends I have met in the choir.

Till next time,
Drawoh

Now what happened today?? Today was Yan Leng's and Shaz 'real' audition for the Singapore Idol deal. So right after today's amazing church service on Missions (will touch on this in future postings), I made my way down to City Hall to meet the peeps. It was good news for all ears when we heard that both Yan Leng and Shaz made it as the top 100 contestants! Congratulations! We're so proud of you! I really hope they get as far into the competition as possible, besides, its really cool to watch a friend on TV, and can you imagine mobilisation to vote for them! That would be interesting! *sniggers*
The other highlight of the afternoon, was when Peiying, Joy, Kok Yong and I went to take a photo-card print-out! Had so much fun...now don't laugh, I only took 2 of such things in my life, so it was a rather enriching experience for me...ok, you can stop laughing now...oei! Maybe it was the camera or the atmosphere, but all the pics look great! Should take more of these, very fun lah, and therapeutic! Don't belive go try, makes you very happy!

p.s Puffie, does my blog look more girly now? With your name on it? Hehe..Bleah!
It is Father's day today! Honestly, I didn't know what to do; I mean, you can't exactly ask the man out for a swanky dinner nor a nice walk right? (You could for a lady, but my dad..well...)
Mom had a business dinner and Sis is still at Australia mugging for her exams, so its up to me! ( I was literally thinking, 'Lets forget about this Father's day thang, consumerism!') So while I was alone at Kinokuniya at Ngee Ann, I deliberated with myself and cracked my brain for a nice way to make it special for dad this year...
At the end, I bought KFC meals, brought it back home, placed newspaper on the floor, poured the drinks into nice cups, turned the radio on to his favourite 90.5 FM station, and we ate on the floor.
Not too bad, he enjoyed himself, very relaxed as compared to going out!
I'm happy, at least it was special and different, and i'm grateful...

I wrote this for a friend...thought that it was kinda nice...

"In life, there will be many people we meet...
some we walk by and steal a glance at them...
some we might even walk with for a while...
but they go..
but there are some who will be at the distance, always walking near you, but not always with you....
and whenever you fall, or get too tired..
they will run over and pick you up, and walk with you till you're strong again.
They are all around, so don't lose heart.
They are somewhere, everywhere.
Just keep walking, and they will be near."

May the peace and joy of God be always upon your life...

Have you guys expereinced "The Great Blogger Relaunch"?! No, I have not been paid by them to advertise (although i'm sure I can do a good job if they did...bleh!!!)

But seriously, God bless Google! In their fine acquisition of blooger.com, look at what they have done?! Its like Martha Steward refurnished a whole bedroom (in her hey-days of course, now she's either 'refurnishing' court summons or the slammer dorms..hehe)

New interface page, new templates (my favourite change of course, don't need to struggle with blog-skins no more..no no...), additional add-ons like pictures and lots lots more! Feels like a field day in 'Toys-R-Us'!

And what's more, 'Dictionary.com' has added a word to web search, bringing research work onto a new level! Can you imagine the speed we college essay-writing-machines (which translates to 'Students' to the layman) can reach? I say, what a joy and a glass to the techno-age.

Yet say ye to the irony! The common thread of these sites are the boiler of it all! They all advocate 'Linux' and its 'Free source codes' movement, which Microsoft sets its hell-hounds to guard with lawsuits and fury! The smell of Revolution, the fight of independence, doesn't it feel like a French summer in 1789??? Bloodless, not byte-less.

With news of predicted Microsoft sales dropping due to its next operating system (OS) not coming out till 2006, it opens 'windows' (no pun intended...hehe yah right!) for Linux to concentrate on advancement and forget about catching up; an advantage I feel they greatly need.

Not saying that i'm not excited about the alleged 'LongHorn' OS from Microsoft come 2006, I am and would probably purchase it, but competition would benefit comsumers in an adverse way, in both software and hardware. Just look at it this way, while the cat(Windows) is away, we hope the mouse will grow and come out to play (Linux).

As for me, I'm just enjoying myself, using the techno-edge that I have to better serve the Kingdom of God and of course to entertain my fellow readers such as yourself. So watch out for more entries, columns and responses to the weird world we live in!

And remember...Your Attitude determines your Altitude!

Viva Revolution!

Angels Brought Me Here Lyrics
by Guy Sebastian

[Verse 1]
It's been a long and winding journey, but i'm finally here tonight
Picking up the pieces, walking back into the light
Into the sunset of your glory, where my heart and future lies
There's nothing like that feeling, when i look into your eyes...

[Bridge]
My dreams came true, when i found you
I found you, my miracle...

[Chorus]
If you could see, what i see, that you're the answer to my prayers
And if you could feel, the tenderness i feel
You would know, it would be clear, that angels brought me here...

[Verse 2]
Standing here before you, feels like i've been born again
Every breath is your love, every heartbeat speaks your name...

[Bridge 2]
My dreams came true, right here in front of you
My miracle...

[Chorus]
If you could see, what i see, you're the answer to my prayers
And if you could feel, the tenderness i feel
You would know, it would be clear, that angels brought me here...

[Bridge 3]
Brought me here to be with you,
I'll be forever grateful (oh forever Faithful)
My dreams came true
When I found you
My miracle...

[Chorus]
If you could see, what i see, you're the answer to my prayers
And if you could feel, the tenderness i feel
You would know, it would be clear, that angels brought me here...
Yes they brought me here...
If you could feel, the tenderness i feel...
You would know, it would be clear, that angels brought me here...

and I feel so too....

Friday, May 07, 2004

Hi guys! Its so not normal for me, the infantastical Drawoh! Lately, I've been feeling really agitated. Restless, muscle twitching I-wanna-scream-yet-its-a-if-you-scream-you're-lunatic kind of society. I only scream at idealogies, not people.

Number 1, Choir concert is coming up. And I say, I really want it to be perfect to a pin, and i bet everyone in the Choir wants it too. (The sweat and blood, and pins and needles, wood and gigantic golden sissors, oh my!) I'm not saying things are not done, oh on the contrary, everything's going better than expected. That's the thing, its because of this fact and our expectations are rising beyond our previous, and the pressure is mounting. All things will work for the good, I believe, but its the time of waiting that's the most testing. Parre?

Number 2, studying is really fun. Best thing to do now, as compared to stoning and being a public nuisance. (I know people who are not in school, and they are a menace to society...) But, being in JC year 2, whenever I look at my 2-file per subject load, its immense to read through, consolidate and memorise! The sheer amount of notes and info scares people. But i'm prayerful, and we will draw our swords, fight this, and never surrender.

I will survive!
