" The SAF is am armed force; it is not a civilian corporation. Its mission is to defeat its enemies, ruthlessly and completely. It is an instrument of controlled fury, designed to visit death and destruction on its foes...soldiers must have steel in their souls...must learn in war to kill and not flinch, to destroy and not to feel pity, to be a flaming sword in the righteous cause of national survival."
-Brig.-Gen Lee Hsien Loong, Singapore Armed Forces Chief of Staff [General Staff], at his sending-off parade on retirement from active military service, Khatib Camp, 19 September 1984

Debunks the view of a nice, sweet nation we are, doesn't it? But being a defensive army, that's what we are. We might not win through sheer number, but we are sure to give them substantial damages; to cut off a leg from their square table.

Hi present and future reader,
I have failed in my duty as a responsible blogger. Just look at the time frame between today and the last time I blogged, and it would prove the severity of my doing. Do forgive me.

That's done, do not expect me to get on my knees and appeal to the general public just like how productive the Korean politicians are (although I do have immense respect for all that Japanese/Korean bowing tradition). Its all done in good fashion. Instead, even though I can't write a valid entry today due to a history test tomorrow, do watch out, will write more regularly, hopefully daily, in due time.

Till then, its Drawoh, the always exciting alter-ego, signing off!

To Tomorrow's Revolution!

Woke up startled and sudden at around 3 a.m this morning. Without rational thought, ran to turn on my computer and check my e-mail. To my surprise I found out that there was an urgent e-mail to respond to my overseas friend regarding some life issues/questions.

Thank God for that. I believe by God's grace, able to help a friend out in tough times.
God works in mysterious ways I guess, never got woken up like that before to help somebody...

The time is 5.17 am, less than 30 mins left to sleep and off to school!

See you there!

First entry.

Been talking about wanting to start a blog for sometime, been held up, and finally got down to starting it. I reckon we think so many thoughts in a day, that it would be really cool to pen some of them down to let people read, and for myself to re-read for reflection. Besides that, there were two girls who really spured me to touch ground on this; one was Leoksi, got really into reading her daily exploits in her own blog, to a point where I would religiously read whenever I log on; and Jeanie, her blog is really interesting too, and she kept 'hounding' me to start my own. (Really motivating....)

I was a little apprehensive about it, cause I tend to guard my private life from business and outside affairs, separating both quite distinctively. But on one hand, I admire the people who have really neat and nice blogs to read, and on the other, I'm aware of people who use their blogs to complain about life and malign other people. Very sad. I wanna respond to both, the good and the bad, and see how I can subtly respond to the negative actions and encourage the positive ones.

So here goes....do come back once in a while to see what turns up on these pages! ( So excting...ta da ta da ta da da!)
